Wash & Care:
Wool is so easy to care for. It should be washed every one to two weeks, or when soiled.
To keep it leak-proof, wool should be lanolized about once a month. This cover will need
to be lanolinized before first use.
Machine wash gentle cycle with lukewarm water and liquid wool wash. Spin, but do not
rinse. Lay flat or hang to dry away from direct sunlight.

Why use a Wool Diaper Cover?
Wool is an incredibly efficient natural fiber that makes a very absorbent diaper cover.
It is breathable, which can cut down on diaper rash significantly for sensitive children.
It is heat regulating making it warmer in winter and cooler tan PUL covers in summer.
Wool can hold up to 30% of its weight in moisture before it feels wet.
Absorbs moisture in its vapor state, releasing it into the air before bacteria can grow.
Because of this antibacterial property, wool is odor-resistant too.
The disadvantage of wool covers is that they are more bulky than PUL ones.

Will my baby have an allergy to a Wool Diaper Cover?
Made from the softest Merino wool, these covers are not scratchy at all.
Conventional wool comes from sheep dipped in chemicals before shearing.
Once the wool is shorn, harsh chemicals are used in the scouring & spinning process.
This process "breaks" the fibers, making the wool feel scratchy and itchy.
Most allergic reactions are caused by sensitivity to the petro chemicals used in the
processing of conventional wool, NOT to the wool itself.

What is Lanolin & why do the covers need it?
Lanolin is the natural oily substance produced by sheep to keep their wool dry.
Lanolized Wool covers are waterproof and make great breathable diaper covers.
The lanolin (a popular ingredient in soap making) in wool makes it self-cleansing.
Lanolin works with friction produced by the dynamic fibers to perpetually scrub itself clean.
Natural lanolin, paired with wool's antibacterial & odor-resistant properties, means that you
only need to wash your wool covers every 2-3 weeks.

What is Wool Wash?
A special soap made just for wool which requires gentler treatment than other fibers.
Wool washes cleanse the wool without stripping it.
Many wool washes contain lanolin to help condition the wool and maintain it's water
resistant tendencies, making it unnecessary to lanolize your cover each time you wash it.
